| There will be a Brewery Reading on Tuesday, May 8th at 8:00 pm. I'll be reading as well as a couple other people. The release went really well. There are copies in the English Department lounge area if anyone gets a chance to stop by and grab one! | | |
| I'm so sorry that I haven't been around to update...things have been busier than I could have ever imagined. This isn't even short notice...it's no notice...but the SLAB realease is today, Wednesday, April 18th at 7:00 in the University Club. It won't actually start until a little after 7:30. | | |
| I'm so sorry for not keeping in touch as well as I should. This has been one crazy semester and it won't be letting up anytime soon, even though next week is the last week of classes! SLAB is going well, but it's so unbelievably busy that sometimes I can't see straight. But we're forging ahead and I'm really excited about this second issue. We're going to have some really amazing stuff in it . We are planning on setting up the Reading Series at the Brewery hopefully in January. Things were just too hectic to get it done this semester. I hope that all of you will be able to make some of them and if not, perhaps you can swing around for the release. I miss everyone. Hope you're all well. | | |
| "Bad Poetry is so Good" It's bad because it feels so good I practice no conventions Obey no rules This poem will never be edited by you or anyone... I put on a cd that reminds me of Christmas and of you The critics said it was bad Must be why it sounds so good I don't mind cold fingers They seek you out They are only warm When safely enclosed in yours So no, I don't mind cold fingers Because you hold the warmth and it feels so good I love your long hair even though you cut it last week and it still falls across your eyes They say that hair like yours is unprofessional Must be why you look so good And why it feels so good between my cold fingers and why bad poetry is so good | | |
